Getting started
- Choose a focus duration and a railway journey.
- Optionally enable notifications or app shielding.
- Start the journey. FocusDensya works even if you decline optional permissions.
Permission declined
Core timing and journey features remain available. You can change permissions later in iPhone Settings. FocusDensya never requires access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
Screen Time and app shielding
In FocusDensya Settings, enable App Shielding, authorize Screen Time, then choose the apps or categories you want to reduce during a journey. The selection is optional and stays on your device or in the App Group. Shielding is removed when the journey ends or is paused.
If authorization fails, open iPhone Settings and review Screen Time access for FocusDensya, then return to the app and try again. FocusDensya is for self-management and does not monitor another person.
Notifications and Live Activities
Arrival notifications can be enabled in FocusDensya Settings and in iPhone Settings → Notifications → FocusDensya. Live Activities are managed in iPhone Settings under FocusDensya. If nothing appears, confirm the feature is allowed, begin a new journey, and make sure Low Power or system restrictions are not suppressing it.
iCloud synchronization
Use the same Apple ID on each device, turn on iCloud Drive and allow FocusDensya to use iCloud, then give the first synchronization a moment to complete. Offline changes remain available locally and synchronize after the device reconnects. FocusDensya uses your private CloudKit database and has no separate login.
Delete your data
Delete individual reminders or records in FocusDensya where a delete control is shown. Deleting the app removes its local app data. To remove synchronized data, use iPhone Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage and delete FocusDensya data; wording can differ by iOS version. Contact us if you need help locating the control.

Railway geometry and station information are derived from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism National Land Numerical Information railway data, used under CC BY 4.0, and from © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the ODbL.

Include your iOS version, device model, app version, and the steps that led to the problem. Please do not send sensitive personal information or Screen Time selections.
