Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, advertising identifiers, audio, detailed sleep records, HealthKit records, or payment-card information.

  • No account creation or sign-in is required.
  • No analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs are included.
  • We do not sell data or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Data Stored Locally

Sleep records, wake times, sleep duration, preferences, language choice, bedtime reminders, and onboarding state are stored locally on your device using Apple frameworks such as SwiftData and UserDefaults.

AirPods and Audio Route Usage

AirAlarm checks the current audio route to understand whether AirPods are connected or removed. This is used only to support the sleep and alarm experience. Bluetooth route data is not recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Notifications and Background Audio

AirAlarm may request permission for local alarm notifications and optional bedtime reminders. Sleep sounds and alarm audio play on your device through AVFoundation and background audio mode.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Optional AirAlarm Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. AirAlarm checks Apple-provided purchase status on your device to unlock Pro features. We do not receive or store your payment-card information.

Optional Friend Rewards

When you open or use Friend Rewards, AirAlarm sends an Apple-signed app transaction to our referral service. We verify it and store a cryptographic hash of the stable App Store app-transaction identifier and the original AirAlarm download date used to determine new-user eligibility; we do not receive your Apple ID, name, or email address.

The referral service also stores your invitation code, invitation relationships, reward status, and server timestamps showing when a qualifying sleep session starts and finishes. These timestamps are used only to verify that an invited new user completed the required session and to prevent fraud. Detailed sleep records, sleep stages, heart rate, audio, alarm settings, and HealthKit data are not uploaded.

Friend Rewards data is linked to the hashed app-transaction identifier so progress and rewards can work across eligible installations. The program is not used for analytics, advertising, or tracking.

Third-Party Services

Apple processes purchases and App Store offer codes. Cloudflare hosts the Friend Rewards API and database on our behalf. Neither service is used by AirAlarm for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Retention and Deletion

Local data remains until you delete it in the app or remove the app. Friend Rewards records are retained while the program operates so we can preserve earned rewards, enforce invitation limits, and prevent duplicate or fraudulent claims. You may request deletion of referral data by contacting us. We may retain the minimum record required to prevent repeated reward claims or meet legal obligations.

Children's Privacy

AirAlarm is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through Friend Rewards, please contact us.
