Overview

Cheese! OCR is designed with privacy as a core principle. All text recognition is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. No data ever leaves your Mac.

Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:

• No user data is sent to any server.
• No analytics or tracking of any kind.
• No network connections are made — the app does not have network entitlements.
• No third-party SDKs or services are included.

On-Device Processing

All OCR (optical character recognition) is performed locally on your Mac using Apple's built-in Vision framework. Screenshots captured for OCR are processed in memory and are never saved to disk or transmitted externally.

History Storage

OCR results are stored locally on your device in the app's sandboxed container. This data never leaves your Mac and can be cleared at any time from the app's settings.
